Okay, if you want delicious and amazing Thai food, in a beautiful and cozy setting, you will love this place!! My husband and I have been going here for years and....it only gets better and better ---with incredible service, delicious food choices and a very laid back and lovely setting. My personal favorite is Panang Curry and my husband loves the curry duck---but, seriously, everything is just perfection----and this family who started this business could not be any nicer or kinder---they definitely know what they are doing! :) So, if you have not tried this yet, run, do not walk, to this charming place right across from the Pruneyard, on Campbell Ave (near Bascom) --it is just the best in Thai food! You will be so glad you tried this awesome family-fun charming place!
Food was tasty and service was friendly and kind. My friend and I both got the pad Thai. It had the right balance of flavor, came out quickly, and was certainly a portion we could have shared. Our server was really attentive and helpful. He also asked if I wanted to add spice on the side and I did! It came with jalapeño pickles, some Thai spice packet, and a sauce. It was perfect :) So thanks Thai Orchid. I'll be back.
My family came in on a weekday around 6. We waited around 5 minutes. We ordered the tom yum soup, pineapple fried rice, and the pad see ew. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The tom yum was very aromatic. The fried rice was nice and wasn't dry at all. The noodles were nice and soft and flavorful too. Service was nice and friendly. They were quick with taking our order and bringing the food out. The seating was interesting. There were two rooms? separated by curtains? The restaurant is definitely on the smaller side but that didn't bother me at all.
Have you ever had a friend that you were always ecstatic to see, and you knew that they were happy to see you too? That is the Thai Orchid. Dining there is such a treat - the vibe is laid back and beautiful at the same time. Me and my partner order the yellow curry and pad see ew, and they are so delicious, we haven't tried anything else, even though everything looks and smells amaaaazing. Also, the staff are so friendly and kind. I've seen them remember and speak with guests, very warmly, remembering anyone that has dined there before. (And, I've seen patrons rave to them, and declare that they have dined there for decades) Chris made me and my partner feel at home right away, since the first time we dined there. He'll even remember what we ordered the last time! I love this place
The yellow curry was delicious, similar to a massaman curry. The house fried rice was more reminiscent of food court fried rice than what I typically picture but it was delicious don't get me wrong! I think it had less basil than what I was expecting. The pad Thai was pretty good, we had takeout and I think it might have been better in the restaurant. The pad si-ew was really great and had a good balance of meat and veg.
Local favorite Thai food place! All the dishes have an authentic flavor and taste great! The price is very affordable too. The food comes out super quick after ordering but be careful because they do have a spicy food warning. The place is not super fancy as it's a converted house but it feels cozy! Highly recommend for a lowkey Thai food spot.
Thai Orchid holds a special place in my heart. It was the first place I ever ate Thai food. Fell in love with the comfort dishes and perfectly cook rice. While dating, my husband and we would often have nights out at Thai Orchid. The week after our wedding we met up with friends, ate our cake topper and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and our favorite meals here. Always delicious and fresh: Pad Thai, Penang curry, taro root, yellow curry, green curry, red curry, spring rolls, Tom Yum, fried rice, so much deliciousness!! Of course Thai Iced tea, too.
